I've been contemplating this since next summer I'm going to start shooting my feature film.
What would look better? A Canon GL2 with no 35mm adapter or a Sony DCR-DVD610 with a 35mm adapter?

GL2, not even close. The DCR-DVD610 isn't even 3ccd

Wonderful argument. The Red One isn't even 3 ccd.
I personally don't really like the GL2, it's pretty dated. It is a better camera then that sony though. However- for the money you can still get a better camera. Have you been to the camera thread?

No, but the Red One has Super 35 sized sensors, and his camera has one tiny sensor.

Thanks for your guys help. Im not sure if im considering the GL2 anymore. Nonsensical told me that the Hv30 is a very good quality camera for the price.
My camera's done me some good, but I just cant waste time synchronizing my shotgun mic audio with my video. Sorry, Mr. Handycam, but it's time we go our separate ways... :D

Well, and I don't argue it's not a nice camera for the price but an HV-30 IS a handycam.
