National Film Challenge

Does anyone plan to compete in the National Film Challenge in October or have you in the past?

no, but in my city the edmonton international film festival has their own 24 hour challenge, and I will be entering in that. We find out what the genre and theme are at noon sep 26 and we have to hand in a dvd by noon sep 27.

Why is it that I have to pay $135 for a competition, but Sundance is $100 if you're submitting a feature, and late, at that?

We just finished the 48 Hour Film Project in the middle of August. The team decided to forego the National Challenge this year. There's too much going on. The National Challenge looks like it's the same as the 48HFP, but you get 72 hours to complete the film. I'd be interested in seeing who's up for the project!

We competed in the 48HFP in June, and I think our team is planning competing in the National Film Challenge. They are a lot of fun and very challenging.
