The holiday of Halloween is coming up, so I was going over some childhood fears of mine, and the top two that i could come up with has to be these two. The Winkster (from Barney and Friends) and The Wicked Witch of the West (from the Wizard of Oz). So I was wondering, what scared you when you were growing up?

The Winkster

The Predator. I think it was the first "horror" horror movie I ever watched. Scared the hell out of me. I was afraid my stomach would randomly explode. I don't remember what the question was, but in like, 2nd grade, my teacher asked me something, and I said I was terrified of that scene. Then Aliens. Then that one with the creatures that only attack in the dark.

But a real kind kind thing, was the fear that when I was in the snow, a Saint Bernard would chase me. So I always stayed near the door when I was outside alone so I could make it back.

Everything.

but generally only when I was about to go to bed. for some reason I would get major anxiety attacks while lying in my bed, so my brain would make up stuff to scare me. one of which was a monster under the bed, but the closet never scared me, I even slept in one at a sleep over when I was 7 ( I was locked in it becuase they where trying to scare me, but joke was on them HA!)

ooh Chucky scared me as a kid, I would see a commercial, or walk by the video cover in the horror section at the video store and it scared me to death, but when I actually watched "Childs Play" at 12 I ended up loving the little sucker!

Nightmare on Elm street at 10, not just scared me but scarred me till I was 19 LOL!
Robocop!! saw it when I was 8 scarred me for a month, then loved it. still do.

the first time I saw that in the theaters, at the part where their about to show the translation for the latin the kid was speaking the movie stopped suddenly, everyone was confused in the dark, an emplyee whipped open the doors telling everyone to evacuate because the theater was on fire.

Oh, Barney and his creepy friends. Anyway, I used to have a fear of Mr. Microphone when I was very young. Nobody could get me to watch Toy Story because of hime until I was 6. LOL!

Gah, The Brave Little Toaster nightmare scene creeps me out now.

When I was little, I used to get these goosebumps heads, that you could make up really scary and gory. One of them, I had a blast making, but when I was done it really scared me and I told my mom to throw it away. She said she did. Turns out she put it on top of the fridge to fuck with me. I wouldn't go in the kitchen until she took it down.
