Is there anyone here that doesn't like to or refuses to use CGI, greenscreen, and other types of effects that you add in on the computer?
I try to do all the effects manually/non-virtual. This might be because I don't have a program to do this sort of stuff, but I really like to challenge myself by making "man-made FX".
So anyone else like me?

CGI no, even though i have access to some powerful programs. but green screen i'll do a little and some things in after effects like time stretching to make a pan longer i might do, or a sky replacement, i just did one of those, also color correction or filters hmm i guess the only thing i dont really do with the computer is CGI

I thought it was just me being old fashioned like usual. I seem to be the only kid I know that likes Jimi Hendrix more than Justin Timberlake.
Practical Effects. That's the word I was trying t think of.

I don't mind using computers, but I love working with my hands and building things.
I always was making things, and making my own magic tricks, and fake fingers and stuff when I was a kid.
I always liked playing with Lego's and painting, it was just something I grew up with.
My parents brought me this tin of Lincoln Logs back from Canada once, and I played with those things for a good decade before I lost them, I used to make big elaborate structures, see how high I could make them, and make tiny Rube Goldberg machines with them.
I think it's easier to do things analog than digitally, but i've got nothing against digital effects.
Infact my "GHOST" tutorial is going to be done digitally, because the analog setup is too big and complicated.
Not really, but it connects to my "HOW TO BUILD A GREENSCREEN" tutorial, so i'm going to keep going with it.

I can't really, but then again, I can't make tons of me without it....

I only use digital effects if I know for certain it will look good. I just can't stand the look so many indy movies get from greenscreen, digital blood, ect. It never fails to make me cringe.
