just after effects a driving car in, but i don't get why you wouldn't just put green posterboard behind the windows? that's like super easy

Use a greenscreen or if you don't have one buy some green paper and duck-tape it to the car window's

I'd rewrite your script. If it's something a 13 year old can't really do, then don't "pretend" they are going to in your film.

Actually have your actors who should be legal age drive the car?

Or hire a stunt driver (Mom, Dad, or Uncle).

I'm not going to be doing a car chase scene. in my movie i basically steal my parents car and run away. also i don't have a good programme that does green screen

If you don't have a program that does greenscreen, then you can't really have any shots within the car, so you can just have your parents drive and film outside so you can't see the faces.

Without a green screen it's basicly imposable or you have to get the car in a very dark room and get a few friends that play with lights around (pretending other cars / street lights) or get a giant screen that can play the movie and place it next to your car but it will cost around 2500$ same price as a good green screen program.

Imagine...

Sitting in the passenger seat... the camera angled so you can't see the driver.
While in the passenger seat... You're holding a steering wheel.

Now, flip the image in Post-production.

As long as there are no clothing logos or differences between right and left, then no one would notice.

Spots to have the camera: Between the front seats looking up (seeing the "driver" and outside), Hood - looking in (make sure you have a locked down and secure camera mount for that), or Wing/Side-mirror mount - Angled to see the "driver" and the window behind the real driver (again, lock and secure the camera and mounting).

This way you can film in day or night and as long as the car is moving and you keep the cuts short, the mind will not see things as "flipped".

Just film you stepping in the car, turning on the engine. Then film the car driven by an adult, but don't show the adult. Film some craaaazy angles of you driving but not showing the windows and shit.

it wont look very good, but if your desperate and cant green screen, have the scene take place at night, then just put blackposter board on the windows.
