Hi,
I was thinking about making the stunt dummy today, but when I found out duct tape is £5 or so a roll, i backed out. Does anyone know a cheaper and durable alternative to using duct tape? I was thinking paper mache, but it takes a looong time to do and ist that durable...
So, any suggestions?

guerilla tape? hmm probably more expensive.
you could probably use painters tape but you'd have to do it alot thicker. so the cost might end up being about the same
there are usually some duct tape type tapes that you can buy cheaper i remember i found a place that was selling it for a dollar a role i bought like 6

Well where did you go to get it? Try a cirplus store or a dollar store to get a whole whack of rolls.

Yea, at army Surplus you can get big stacks of Duct Tape for just a few bucks, it shouldn't be that expensive.
Unless they have some kind of obscene taxes on Duct Tape in Jolly Ole' England.

You must have been buying tape at like Wal Mart or something.

Dont think there is Wal Mart in england, just an american thing. But they have harrods or something. In NZ we have the most original name for the main one, The Warehouse, whoever thought of that is a genius, cough.

Actually, they have 2,701 stores outside of the US, although in Britain they are called 'ASDA' instead of WalMart.
The Largest chain comparable to WalMart in the UK is TESCO.

Cheaper than duct tape? I don't know my tape facts too well, but I do know that duct tape doesn't cost a fortune. You might as well buy it, plus a bit extra, cuz duct tape is VERY handy for just about everything...

America is lucky to have all these massive stores, round where I live there is an ASDA but its more a supermarket than a general store. The only place I can think of that might have cheap duct tape is costco (sp?), but you need a membership. Oh well, I'll keep looking, and if nothing comes of it i'll just buy some real duct tape.
Anyway thanks for the help.
