The next movie I'm doing requires a mobile command center. But I have no vehicle and a zero budget. Any suggestions?

Thanks

get a small room. dress it with all the gizmos and buttons and switches and TVs you can find, throw in some chairs, head sets, keyboards so it looks like you have something to type into, speakers, maybe some lights that shine on the walls to give it a cool effect.

just some ideas

Yea, for the inside its not that hard to do, just make it a black van, you just need a tiny room, and a fake window in the front, and some fake cardboard doors in the back.

Keep it cheap by only showing typing and peoples faces.

OR, you could call up local scrap yards, and ask them if they have any vans that they are about to destroy, and explain to them real nicely that you are shooting a student film, explain what you want to do, tell him you'll only be a few hours, and that he'll get a credit in your film at the end.

Most people will let you do it for free, I worked with a Junker service on the PSA I shot, and he let me borrow a wrecked car and his tow truck for free for my production.

Just think about how Startrek was made. Panels are wall to wall, seats and most buttons are lighting up.
As long as you paint it well, you can get away with most of it as cardboard. It you need it solid, you will have to dish out coins for wood.

go to a truck stop and flim a random truck for the out side shot (ask if you can flim the truck frist you don`t want an angry trucker chaseing you)

WesScog, you genius! Anyways, for the interior, be sure to have an old laptop or two, some flashing lights (you could take these out of Christmas decorations), and blacklights on the ceiling. Rolling desk-chairs would also be good.

Keep in mind that if you use a real van, you'll need to blur out the license plate or replace it with a fake one.

Good luck!
