Does anyone know(or have an opinion) on what the best free non-trial video editor for PC is. i just got my first camcorder and the video editor it came with SUCKS!

The best free video editor IMO is Avid's. Google avid. But I want to give you a quick tip about filmmaking. If you really want to get into it, It's a very expensive hobby. So most things that are free are not going to be that great. Oh, if you're using windows (which I presume you are) you should have windows movie maker on it. If you are using a Mac you should have iMovie (very good for beginners).

Look everyone i am sorry for what i said to him, but i have tried searches and all i have found is stuff that is exactly like movie maker and when i say video editor i mean something i can add special effects with like lasers.

Well theres a program called LSmaker. Its free, not high quality, but it isn't too bad I guess.

If your willing to spend 150$ (which isn't much in the world of special effects, trust me), then try EffectsLab Pro from FXhome. It has very easy to use laser engines. Plus, you can do much more with it such as fire, lens flares, the clashes for lightsabers, ignition flares, etc, etc.

There is a trial version you can check out before you buy it. Click on the link in my signiture to get to their page. Click on Downloads, then demos on the nav bar.

if you want somthing for free you have to realize, it won't get any better then WMM or iMovie. there are free programs that can "supplement" those. like add seperate effects etc. but if you want a movie editing program that can add effects for free the best your gonna get is iMovie on a mac.
