Is it as good of a movie as they say it is?
i havnt seen it or any trailers for it at all, but my mates say its really crap and a waste of money. The only interesting thing ive heard about it is a silenced shotgun, at least i think i heard about it.
Does anyone wanna share their views on it?

Personally, i had mixed feelings about the film

and im going to get crap for posting this.

I though tall the scenes with the killer in it were fantastic.

But the other half of the movie was just a bunch of filler dialoge and it got me bored.

So its good and bad in a sense.

Your mates are retarded and can't appreciate good cinema if they think it's crap.

I suggest getting new friends.

I thought it was really good, but I don't think its really for the general public. You might even have to see it twice to fully understand it. You really need to pay attention during the film. I think anyone who appreciates cinema, and story telling will enjoy it. It has a lot of very gripping scenes.

I personally loved it. It is a good movie if you like a good discussions with your friends or family after you see it. I loved all of the secnes with the killer just because he was overall cool. I did not like the ending however, they just didnt finish it right. I understand the type of ending they wanted, but it just didnt work the way they planned in my honest oppinion. but eitherway it was very good, worth seeing, and in the top 5 movies of the year for me.

Just saw it tonight. Loved it.

Definitly worth at least trying out.

I did feel a little uncomfortable taking a couple of friends who aren't as open minded about film..the movie ran pretty long.
A lot of the scenes were very slow and deliberate..something a lot of contemporary movie audiences aren't used to...
but the action scenes would be exciting for the most brain dead of viewers..

I thought the movie had a great setting..unfamiliar territory to the average viewer...it was a refreshing change of characters and settings than the average flick.

Check it out. being a filmmaker, Im sure you'd find a lot of it good..

hmmm because i like to make films with little or no budget (like everyone else here at this great site) i think i might wait for it to come on dvd rather than paying to see it in the movies because it 'could' be a little too sophisticated for my mind by wat im hearing of it. So ill go see Cloverfield instead, that should be easy to follow.

I really loved the ending, I thought it fit perfectly. I sat in my seat for a good minute or so soaking it in the first time and the second time I knew what happened but still I was blown away.

Idk, but then again I really didnt like the sheriff(tommy lee jones) he should of been replaced with a different character...like SHERIFF WESCOG!
