so i just watched this short reel, and its got this shot of meteors flying through a building, and i've always wondered how to make buildings look like they've been wrecked, like they have holes in them and you can see the floors and debris and stuff.

here's the clip

anyone got any ideas?

A while back I found this (http://www.cg-links.com/apocalypse.php) Photoshop tutorial, which I saved in case I ever wanted to do some Apocalyptic matte images for a film. Since it's photoshop, it's only going to be helpful for static shots or some synthetic camera movements, but I was fairly impressed with the difference between the starting & ending images.
