Alright, here's my problem.
I have Adobe Premiere Elements 4. Every time I import a video file it lowers the resolution.:ohsnoes: How do I get it to stay at the normal resolution?
All help is greatly appreciated.

where are you uploading to?
also watch the Weekend Extra where they show how to optimize compression settings for YouTube.

When you start a "new project" in youre editing program, it'll allow you to customize the setting you'll use when you are editing it. So when you import a new video file it will shrink down to the customized settings. Wich will compress it into another resolution. So, the thing is that you'll have to adjust it to the wanted size at the beginning.
I'm not sure if it's this, but that's what was the problem for me, but i used Vegas pro 6.0.

upload it to premeire edit then export as DV AVI and see if quality is still lost. sumtimes premeire will make ur vid look fu**ed up in sum way. like i have pro 2.0 and my sound quality sounds like sh** wen its on premeire but when i exported it was perfect. it might just be the program. if it dont work reinstall
