Hey everyone, these are my fake heads for my new zombie movie, they've turned out scarier than ever and i'm going to use them with the blood shooter to demo my film to some funding guy's in the next few weeks :D

Hey guy's, no they are slightly varied from Erik's original creations, you can't see it clearly but each head is drilled through from the back allowing the blood pipe to slot behind the eye socket/forehead, then one is actuallly completely hollow (He's gonna get stamped on ;) ) lol
thanks for the replies :D

Thanks man, hopefully i'm getting a trailer done by Christmas, it'll be the first 10 minutes of the film and the title sequence -
I may put it on YouTube but it's gonna be pretty graphic and not for the younger auidiences
Plus hopefully it's going to be a "film festival" deal, i'm talking to another guy about putting our films together to make a Grindhouse style feature :)

They were fairly expensive on ebay for £7 (about $14) each including delivery but worth every penny!

Gunshots to the head need not use a fake head. Try the following:
- Invest in a small tub of mortician's wax
- Tie a length of fishing line to a button
- Paint a small red spot on the actor's head
- Place the button upon the red spot and build up wax upon it, making sure to blend it into the skin
When you pull the button from the head, it will split the wax open, exposing the red spot underneath. All you need to do is synchronise it with a blood spray from the back of the head and Robert's your father's brother.
Obviously larger gunshots may need a fake head (if you're blowing off sections of face, for example).

fisherking has watched the dawn of the dead dvd. =) this is a good way to go about it. however, i've always wondered if it looks as good on a normal person as it does on a zombie.

It's a pretty common low-tech headshot method. It looks fine, save that sometimes on a low-quality camera it can be difficult to see the hole. It you're really lazy, you can just clone-stamp the hole out a few frames.
