I've been shopping around for some audio recording equipment (for recording music), and I was wondering if anyone out there knew any reputable website to order from.
Any info would be much appreciated.

A good entry level mic for recording music is the Shure sm58, it will record vocals, pianos and guitars well. However if you are going to record drums (and need high quality) you'll need to get a sm57.
The sm58 has the rep of being indestructible, look at the videos on youtube. They dunk them in water and hammer in nails, and it still works fine!
They both run for about 100$

Well the SM58 I think it mostly for speech.....SM57 could be used for all
instruments, since it's a condenser.

I buy almost everything from Guitar Center. I currently have a YAMAHA AW16G. It's a stand alone "Studio in a box" that has 16 digital tracks, 8 inputs, including 2 XLR inputs one of which is powered for use with condenser mics. I use it for recording music, as well as sound effects. check this out..

www.la411.com is a good place to look for other places that sell audio equipment. Some off the top of my head include; equipment emporium, coffey sound, location sound - all searchable with google - but shop around, they don't all have the same prices.
