I'm sorry, Oblivion is far insuperior in gameplay and story to Morrowind, the only part that excels is the graphics and Combat Engine.

i think ps3 and xbox suk ass because:
1: all they care about is good graphix rather than the gameplay
2: they aren't very creative when it comes to creating its unique features
3: they are overly violent which is justa way to make people think violence is cool so they can join the army
4: and ps3 fans act like its so cool but i played it at best buy and its not that fun
5: and they are both HUGE!!!!

I think assains creed is OWNAGE and need for speed carbon is extremly awesome for the PS3. for the Xbox i think Ghost Recon 2 is very fun. :)

Please, not everyone is as weak minded as your assume they are. Killing an alien with a laser gun does not make me violent.

I was a violent person, LONG before I every picked up my NES controller, much less my Halo controller.

I was a nerd who grew up in a bad part of town, lots of bullies, lots of fist fights, I had to LEARN to be worse than the kids that wanted to pick on me in fights, or I was just going to have to deal with more pain.

I have NEVER hurt a person that wasn't trying to hurt me, I have easy access to a variety of firearms, have taken multiple martial arts classes, and have considered joining the military for a long time. (I didn't because of congenital defects in my nasal cavity that contributed to some breathing problems I had, which made me a liability and medically disqualified.) Yet I have NEVER hurt anyone that wasn't a direct threat to my well being, and I will never climb into a bell tower and go nutty psycho.

I'm a violent person, but I CONTROL my use of violent rationally and with ethics and morality. I WILL NEVER hurt a person who isn't trying to hurt me physically in some way, it's just how I am.

And no matter how many horror movies I watch (A Lot.), no matter how many First Person Shooters I play (A Lot.), I will NEVER go around trying to hurt people, or go on a shooting rampage.

Violent media does not make violent people, a violent environment contributes far more than fictional entertainment.

People who violent are oftentimes ATTRACTED to violent content, but you're confusing a symptom with a cause.

If violent content made people violent, then all of the people here on IndyMogul would be INSANE.

Looked at the FX request forum lately? How do I make holes in people, how do I make a realistic torture scene, good blood recipes, how do I make a guillotine, how do I make a monster, how do I make fake guns, how do I make a bone look like its broken, etc. etc.

The only people that could be encouraged to join the military by playing violent video games would be incredibly weak minded and stupid individuals who probably couldn't even pass their ASVAB's.

Really, i've got nothing against the Wii, I love the Wii even, but there are MUCH better examples of good game play on it than Wii Sports.

I'm not a PS3 fan, more of a PS2 fan, mainly because ever since I saw the PS3 as a grill, I just couldnt take it seriously anymore.

Besides, 360 kicks its greasy hot plate any day.

Ok, here is the back story.

The bad guys of the story are The Covenant, they are an alien hegemony of religious fanatics whose religion is centered around artifacts and facilities left by a mysterious super advanced race thousands and thousands of years ago known as the "Forerunner".

The Covenant have pieced together from Forerunner facilities information regarding to a mysterious "Journey", and are seeking a set of "Rings" that will allow them to make this great journey.

Well at the same time Humanity has expanded into space, after a series of rebellions and internal war, the United Nations Space Command has finally united humanity, and we've begun exploring the galaxy.

Until a outer colony known as "Harvest" spots an unknown object approaching, contact is soon lost, the UNSC assumes its pirates and dispatches a battle group.

Only one ship returns heavily damaged, with a message received from the Covenant, "Your destruction is the will of the gods, and we are their instrument".

The Biggest Battle Group in history is put together and organizes to retake the Harvest system, huge battle ensues, and by pure luck, we come out on top, but with massive casualties.

Only it's revealed that the ships we defeated were only a fraction of the Covenants total military, at which point the Covenant begins a genocidal campaign to wipe humanity out.
Moving from colony to colony glassing the planet and moving on.

Realizing that Humanity is desperately outclasses, humanity begins a desperate program to target the Covenants leadership, hoping that since they are Religious fanatics without their "Prophets" leading them, their command structure would collapse.

Using a new class of Super Soldiers, the Spartans, children trained from an early age to be soldiers, given medical treatments to make their reaction time and strength, speed, dexterity, etc. all super human. And they are given highly experimental armor developed from stolen Covenant technologies.

All of these cumulate to make a soldier that is finally able to fight the Covenants troops on the same level.

Well before the plan can be finished, the Covenant commence a surprise attack on the planet, at which point Master Chief escapes with the AI Cortana with a Forerunner artifact discovered on the planet.

Using coordinates derived from the Artifact that fall out of Hyperspace outside of a mysterious Forerunner facility known as a "Halo".

They are gigantic moon sized rings with an artificial environment on them. And a Forerunner secret hidden within them.

Well the Covenant give chase, and fight Humanity over the ring.

It's discovered that a race of Parasitic organisms known as "The Flood" are the reason for the Ring's existence, the Forerunners created the rings as prisons for the Flood, and as weapons to keep them under control and keep them from spreading.

As you can see pretty big storyline, and I haven't even chipped the surface, this is just the basic backstory.

Now some questions you had...

Yes, he has reason to kill aliens, he is trying to stop their genocidal campaign, they have already killed billions of human beings on dozens of planets, he is just trying to hold them off.

And you probably have the question, "WHY DID THE COVENANT ATTACK?" thats a good question, of which there isn't a clear answer.

What is known is that only Human's can activate the rings, we are required to hit the "fire" button.

So it's suggested that there is a connection between Human's and the Forerunners, some believe that Humanity is some kind of "Key" designed by the Forerunner to evolve and "Reclaim" the Forerunners civilization after they were finally defeated in their war against the Flood.

And that the Covenant, angry that they are the "Chosen Ones" try to erase humanity because of their own feelings of jealousy and their obsession with the Forerunners.

Thats ONE idea, the other is that we really are the Forerunners, and that after the war with the Flood we all reverted to a stone age technology level when the Rings were fired, and the Covenant leadership realizing that we were their "Gods" chose to cover up their own mistake by destroying us before the different factions in the Covenant realized who we really were, leading to the Covenant splintering apart and the Prophets losing their leadership position.

There are a lot of "Theories", but all we know is that the Covenant are crazy and want lots of Dead Humans.

As for it being an influence, only on the weak minded. As I said, growing up in a bad neighborhood made me get good at fighting, that was long before I got a NES.

Unstable people who are sick or obsessed with violence might be attracted to violent material.

But someone who is very self-aware and tries hard to be ethical, and values human life, no amount of violent video games will make them into a psychopath.

I would totally fight someone tooth and nail, brutally, that was trying to hurt me or my family.

But I would never climb into a bell tower with a sniper rifle and start shooting at people because my girlfriend broke up with me or something.

Insane people have existed since the beginning of time, the Holocaust was committed long before Halo was imagined.

In fact, since videogames have become more violent and more graphic, violent crime in America has gone DOWN, it's plummeted through the floor.

I think if anything it gives some violent people outlets for their impulses.

Halo 3 only really works for microsoft, Assassins creed WILL be a good game it gives u complete freedom, Dead Rising does get boring and, The Darkness is ok. If u never tied something dont hate it!! Violent Games do NOT spark violence (unless ur in a mental hospital and they shouldnt have it there.)

The wii is creative... hmm yea maybe if they weren't using 1980's technology! It's a cheap effect that doesn't work well. Oh and BTW other companies have used the same thing before nintendo. Rock Band for PS3 looks soooo cool. Like Guitar Hero only with drums and bass and a mic. However my favourite PS3 games at the moment is Assassins Creed, Resistance and MotorStorm. Xbox-wise, I haven't really played on many games as I don't own an Xbox or have many friends with one, but from what I've seen and played, Halo 3 comes out on top.
