Everyone knows that in elementary school they brainwash us to love Will Smith adn everything he does (except Wild Wild West) so...
New Will Smith movie! This one looks pretty funny, not as funny as Hitch though. What do you guys think?

What's it supposed to be, a superhero movie? Oh look, the guy can fly and is really strong, HOW ORIGINAL!

It doesn't look funny at all. I don't know if they are trying to make it funny or not, but they failed either way.

It seems like they're trying to make a superhero spoof movie, as if that's never been done before. The big joke here is that he causes a lot of damage. Man, that's so funny I almost peed my pants.

It's supposed to be if a superhero existed in the 'real world', it's not really a "Spoof".

It's kind of like Mystery Men, or My Super Ex-Girlfriend, a comedy about Super Heroes exisiting in a world where they have to deal with "real" problems.

Frankly, I think it looks kind of funny. And I didn't really have to be "brainwashed" to like Will Smith.

Nobdy has to be brainwashed but it seems like ever since he started rapping everybody in school from then on out love him. and then that rubbed off on other people. I don't have it all figured out yet but I'm working on it. i'm thinking of calling it "The Theory of The Willenium"

p.s. Will Smith is freaking awesome!

I thought Hancock was actually a fairly decent movie. I went to an advance screeing of it back in April. It's not the best movie, and it did have it's problems, but it was still fairly enjoyable.

Was it just a test screening? Because test screenings are almost never the film that ends up on the big screen.

damn test screenings! that's what screwed up I Am Legend and now Where The Wild Things Are! I hope that Berg gets to release this movie the way he first envisioned it, I like Berg and trust Will Smith to pick material he likes personally, for studios to change a whole film based on just one audience (as they are inclined to do) to me seems crazy.

As long as Will Smith is in the movie I will watch it.

Any movie with:
Harrison Ford
Hugh Jackman
Robin Williams
Ben Stiller
or
Wesley Snipes

I will watch the film. Most definitely

Hancock actually looks like a cool movie. Whether Will Smith is in it or not. He's more of an original character than you think. He may have many of Superman's powers but I think the whole character that Smith portrays seems to be one of those super-heroes you've never seen before. This just might be another one of Smith's "Golden Eggs".

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was. Most of the special effects weren't completed. And there is one scene I'm pretty sure they will cut out from the final theatrical version of the film. They are pushing for a PG-13 rating, and from an article I've read, see link below, the MPAA has reviewed the film twice and given it an R rating both times. So I'm pretty sure the cut I saw will be different from the final cut.

So I finally saw the "theatrical version" of Hancock. It actually wasn't too different from the version I saw a few months ago. There were only a few minor differences.

First of all, the sex scene was cut out completely, surprise surprise. And at the beginning where Hancock is flying around they replaced the "Move B****" song with the clean version of the same song. I don't know if it was just me but it just felt a little strange. Other than that everything was pretty much the same as it was when I saw it back in April.

Overall I still think it was a decent movie. It's worth checking out if you don't have anything to do.

Sex scene? Who had sex where? I want to know what i'm missing.

I enjoyed it, I just think that they kind of smashed two storylines together that had no business being smushed together.

I thought the first half of the movie, up until the revelation that SHE had superpowers too was FANTASTIC, it was a GREAT exploration of how lonely someone that powerful would most like be in the real world.

Then they had to ruin it with this just out of left field story where SHE has powers to? Also the film lacked a real villain, the guy they had was totally useless. If they had had someone who could match Hancock's brute strength with his mind, that would have made a far more interesting film.

I am looking forward to a Sequel with him in New York dealing with a REAL villain.

has antone else noticed every song he has done, in the beginning, he always says, "uh uh uh, yea, ha ha, ha ha." haha

Sex scene? Who had sex where? I want to know what i'm missing.

The sex scene was actually toward the beginning of the movie. Right before you meet Jason Bateman's character. Hancock is still in the bar and he's drinking and watching himself on the news. Then this really hot girl walks up and says that she's been looking for him for a long time. Hancock saved her sisters life or something and she wanted to pay him back. Hancock shurgs her off but then finally agrees to take her to his trailer.
They walk inside and he warns her that when he needs to "blow his load" she needs to get off! Then there's a shot of the trailer from outside and it's shaking around all over the place. You hear Hancock screaming "GET OFF" from inside. Right after, part of the roof explodes off. They cut back to the inside. Hancock is lying on his bed just below the hole in the ceiling and the girl is lying all the way on the other side of the trailer. She gets up with this shocked look and stumbles out of the trailer.

It was a pretty funny scene but it did kinda slow the story down.
