atm PS2.
Purely on games library.
PS2 has a huge games library with great games, exclusives and non-exclusives.
PS3 on the other hand has had a hard time with games, there are not any good exclusives, and the cost of the console is preventing more buyers, which in turn is preventing more exclusives.

i still use my PS2
i mean there's no sense in buying a $500 consle
if there's a cheper one of equal quility (xbox360)

plus Sony still makes games for PS2
the only place u can get regular xbox games
is gamestop's bargin bin

I wouldn't say that...
An larger games library, a larger fan base and a better online system. (The 360s not equal its better!!! :P)

And notice how so many people said PS3 but have nothing to back it up :P

PS2 is WAY better than PS3.

u can play PS2 games on the PS3. Only the 60 gb type. u have to download the PS2 or PS1 games to play on the 80 gb type.

And the 40gb model doesn't play them at all :P
But I don't think backwards comatibility counts, because your actually playing PS2 so I say PS2 is better.

PS3 is WAAAAAY overpriced.... PS2 is okay but COME ON! Wii and Nintendo 64 are the ultimate in consoles!

See, I could give a fuck less because a Play Station is a Play Station, however it annoys me when this new game I've been crapping ymself over is gonna come out, and it comes out exclusively for the NEW platform...

Resident Evil 5 is coming out soon, and it's going to be PS3 :/ It's pathetic when a new platform comes out and the previous one is completely disregarded. I heard some crap about the new PS3's having this chip in them that prevents you from playing older games, only PS3 games...I'd nuke Sony if it came to that.

Before things get too crazy, I might sell my PS2, which is in great condition, and use some of the money to buy a new PS3 :/ might as well, I'll die if I can't play RE5!
