Ok, so I'm thinking of getting a starter camera, in the lower price range. Right now my friends and I are filming with an SVP 2600 and to be honest, I dispise it. So i was looking around these forums as well as online and saw two cameras that caught my eye. The Zr800 and the Elura 100. Prices are close enough that the difference isnt an issue. They both seem very similar but i wanted to see what everyone thought about these two.
I'm kind of in need of a camera since the only other one besides the SVP is a TRV-118 from ages ago, and that uses Hi8 (ugh...)
One last question:
Does anyone reccomend using the SVP for now and saving up for a couple months and get a WAY better one? Something in the $1000-$2000 price range.
