need lots of opinions on a camera for under $2000

I want to get a nice camera.

My limit is $2000
I want mic input
manual features
a good semipro model
i like the shape and size of a gl2

not sure if i want an hd cam

which format are most people using? are most people just gonna stick with standard def or upgrading?

On ebay you can get a GL2 for about 1500-2000$ or for about $2200 you can get the A1U its great and has XLR inputs and shoots in HD

the main use is to make some training/instructional videos for work. so i need great video quality indoors and outdoors.

then i plan on shooting some comedy videos with action figures. some paintball games. some movies with real people.

so i need good quality video, easy editing, and semi easy to use.
