I think it would be helpful if there was a weekend extra that teaches you to make a simple model in Blender and Import it into a movie. It would be helpful so you could make those impossible Special Effects and it would be useful to projects that need help with 3d modeling.

STEVE NELSON:
Oh man. Haha. What we're doing right now is basically what you're asking for. Our lighting episodes, our sound episodes, and the future episodes for the next month or so of Weekend Extra are all going to be to the tune of "how to make a movie". We have some cool episodes in the works, following the path IMWE has been going lately. And everything you see us do in these videos...is how we really do it. I know it's not exactly what you're wishing for, but we don't have anyone to follow us around. And a five minute episode takes a week, imagine how long a half hour ep. would take.

I just want to stress that everytime you watch BFX or IMWE, you ARE watching us in our element. We're trying to throw more behind-the-scenes stuff onto our vimeo account and the forums, so, there's that too. I hope this is close to what you're looking for.

Couldn't this go in the Post Production Part?

I need it myself because I don't know how to do 3D modeling and for a school project i need someone to be knocked off the 4th floor of a building(and other people are filming so I can't drop a dummy.).

I don't know how to do that, but I'm not as much a CGI person.

There is a whole wiki-book about blender that I've been lining from (I need to start doing that again) any ways I do need to know how to add 3d modeling from blender to my movies. if you guys want to read the wiki-book (I recommend it) go here: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro

Wow, i dont get why you should use A 3D person for that. It would look so bad that... I dont know. The only time when to use a 3D person in A film is when its proffesionall. Just look at Moria when legoas jumps of the trolls head..... thats the crapiest effect ever made.

Seems like BFX is more towards cheap film making.

HyperCam 2 is a good screen recorder just if you don't register it (pay for it) they put there logo in the top right corner, you can download it here: http://www.shareup.com/HyperCam-download-18992.html

If they DO do a show about that, which I hope they don't, they should do it with Anim8or. It's the easiest to learn, seriously it took me thirty minutes. And, I'm sorry, If you don't have a windows, I use a Mac for movies and Anim8or on my windows. I'm sure you could get it on a jump-drive and bring it to a library?
