Aftereffects problems-- again...

Behold, more errors. I have recently cracked AE (sorry if this topic is touchy or teetering on legal boundaries, but ive seen tons of people mention illegal doings of these sorts ). I have entered a key code-- then done the 'Register by Phone" and it worked-- then suddenly:

An error appears reading: "Sorry AE needs to shut down, it crashed." (Paraphrased, obviously.)

AE shuts down, i reboot it only to get an error saying "Licensing for this product has expired."

Now i cant open it, any way to DELETE this 'registry' and start with the trial version? Or SOMETHING TO FIX THIS! Thank you guys, much appreciated. Sorry if this topic is iffy, mods, I heart you, let this slide :)

EDIT: Ive rebooted my comp, re-installed, un-installed rebooted and re installed, just re-installed. Ive done everything imaginable, help 0_0

Pc restore your computer and then get either a different one and try to crack it or try doing the same one you just did again.

Or buy it. =p

Or grab it off the shelf of a store and run out with a ski mask on.

i plan on buying it-- within years.

as for the mask idea...hmmmmmm... lol.

a month back i had the same problem no amount of internet researching could help.
after about a week and countless reinstalls i finally fixed the problem

i did this:

-restore your computer to sometime before the crash.
-download a program called 'runasdate' (run as date)
-tell the program to launch a AE on a date a few days after it was origionaly installed
-when you launch AE use the icon 'runasdate' created



now i have told you this i will have to kill you

the other thing to do would be to get a copy that is guaranteed to work and install it over the previous version, this will copy all new files over the old and also rewrite the registry files..for a good version with no activation check out http://www.darksiderg.org (http://www.darksiderg.org/) under the programs forum ( it is the corporate edition, doesnt need to register)

would this 'system restore thing' you mention erase any sue data?
