I made this Tread for people to post a Picture and the Address of a location that they think is good, and other people could use in there movies. I don't have one yet but fell free to post yours. You can give a little discription of the location too.
I hear New York City is a place where a couple of movies are filmed...

if you're looking for different locations to shoot at (outside of someone's house or backyard), i have found that the following are usually willing to help out local residents if they come prepared with a treatment and a script and a schedule and why you chose their location (i.e. walk in with a binder full of pages and notes):
-religious institutions
-vfw's (most have huge meeting rooms and huge kitchens and freaky basements)
-privately owned small businesses not inside of a mall or similar complex
-knights of columbus halls
-car dealerships
-whatever school you're going to (remember that they have boiler rooms and janitor closets and teacher's lounges)
-eh, you get the picture
so, most importantly, remember to be professional and on top your shooting schedule. secondly, when they ask what the project is for, don't say that it's because you want to become a director someday. share with them them that you're building up your "reel" and you want to add production value to your work. which, by the way, is actually what you need to do in order to become a big-budget filmmaker.

So, here is a link for people in/around Hawaii:

This is from the Honolulu Film Office. From here, you can select what you are looking for - it's an online scouting system. Sure, you *need* permits to use some of the space...but, who wastes time doing that?
