No! Do not buy this camera. It has no mic jack and the built-in mic SUCKS. Get the little brother- the ZR800 which oddly enough has a mic jack.

zr -830 or the zr-850 has a mic jack i believe its not a bad camera i own the zr-800 its not bad but its not a wonderful studio quality camera

Nope, only the 800 has a mic jack.

its d have a mic jack thise are the only ones for under 200 dollars the 850 has no mic jack thats the one youre thinking of minimogul

The ZR830 trades a mic jack for USB and worthless still capability. If you are tight on cash go for the ZR800. I have one and love it. If you have a little more to spend get the ZR930.

I had a ZR600 it was a nightmare.

b and h sais it has an mic input and every other reviewer also sai it has an mic input and cannon the manufacturer also sais it has an input so that source is incorrect and that picture of the side is from a zr950 i have seen them both with my own eyes and the zr 830 has an mic input
