BFX: Sugar Glass, how do you make it clearer?

hi, i made the sugar glass and it turned out great exept for the fact that its yellow! i am planning on makeing more. how do you make it more glassy and clear rather than yellow and not as see through?:confused:?:confused:?:confused:?:confused :?

Don't cook it as long, it yellows because it's beginning to caramelize.

you can also put a little blue food coloring in it. it's not as clear, but it will give you that greenish glass tint

blue + yellow = green :D

I assume that is like what they use when someone gets a "beer bottle" smashed over their head, or what the window is made of when u get thrown out of it.

am I right? did i guess right?
