If anyone knows how to contact him have him contact me.

I don't have much to offer but let him know I'll send him $100 as a way to start his NEW EQUIPMENT fund.

We're all one bad day from from giving up. I've been through what he is experiencing and it sucks.

I hope some of my fellow Indymogulers step up.

I admire you a TON for being so generous, but I assume a lot of mogulers (including me) are very short on money. If I could give him money I would, but I have my own equipment to save up for, my own films to fund. If there's anything I can do to help him not related to donating money I'll do it.

Like I said I have been through it and I can afford it. Moral support is a great thing to give him too!

Just pass the word and get him any help you can.

And if I wasn't a kid I would send you money, just if I had a job. We're a family.

I've been through that too. Always be true to yourself. I used to be an accountant, I hated it. I didn't get into this until I was in my 30's.

While it has been a struggle at times and I've been through weird stuff, writing and making film always brings a smile to my face.

Wow, Ray you're a very generous man. I've also been through it, and it can be devastating. It's so violating. When something like that happens it can make you think of all the bad in the world .But I know if when I had been robbed someone had made such a kind gesture, it would have been enormous in helping me.

MORNING NEWS
so i woke up with a phone call, the cops got my stuff back but not the kids involved....thats right kids between the ages 12-15 as the cops said
so i was happy
so just got back to home and i even more sad...they smashed my camera and laptop screen......i had no warranty on my camera or laptop.......so i broke down..i not going to lie but i cried...i work my ass of to get all this stuff and it was taken away that fast.
i called JVC and they was complete dicks, said if i had not been cheap and about the extra warranty this would of not happened, and also they was not planning on replaces because it seemed sketchy....i freaked out and hung up
then i called hp think it would be same
but it was different
they understood and got me on the phone with a superviser and they plan on replace my laptop free and transferring my info from the broken laptop to the new one
i am very happy that i at least have my laptop back with everything on it
thanks to everyone tho
and if you feel you don't want to help anymore i understand and would like to say thanks to everyone that has supported
also my diggy cam was in pieces....only that still worked was the sd card
thanks again

That's bittersweet. Congrats on getting your stuff, even if it was smashed. Congrats on HP being nice and transferring your info. I think it is better that the laptop was saved because you can do so much more with the laptop and no camera than if you have a camera and no laptop. Oh...wait you must have a desktop to be typing that...well congrats on the laptop anyway. I'll be glad to send some money when I get this months payment on my HP laptop payed off.

Hey, glad to hear you're getting a new laptop. I suggest that you upgrade security in your house, buy a safe and put your laptop and camera and other valuables in there when you aren't using them. I also suggest spending the extra bit on the warranty, my camera once nearly broke and I got a warranty, It fixed itself but I'm darn glad I got one. I suggest Canon next time, I think they'll be less of Idiots and actually help you next time.

Good luck!

I stand by my offer. Use it to help defray the costs involved.

Some day you may be able to do the same for someone else.

While the situation still sucks, you didn't quit! You hung in there. Maybe you need to find the nastiest 16 year old to put a severe beat down on those who stole your stuff?

Everybody cries, don't believe the macho crap.

Turn this series of events into a story and make a film out of it.

I'm glad things are working out.

Now I'm off to interview some whack jobs in Northern Idaho. There's a good chance I'll be arrested or beaten up.
