Find Mogulers in your area - Interactive Map

Hey all,

I was really pulled in by the "Find Mogulers in your area (http://forum.indymogul.com/showthread.php?t=637)" thread and wanted an easier way to see where everybody was from. So I went to Google Maps and got this:

With all the threads recently trying to get people here working on collaborations, I had an idea.

Without further ado, I am proud to present the Official Indy Mogul Map of Mogulers! (http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=103778710063621640331.00045212f7f82c392b6de)

Now I know there have been a few Indy Mogul maps created in the past, but this one's a little different, here's why:

1) Anyone can edit this map, so there's no waiting to be added or any such nonsense as that. Just put your marker down. You can be as specific or general in your location as you wish. Put the marker on your house or in the center of town, whatever.

2) The purpose of this map is to locate other Indy Mogulers wishing to collaborate on projects. If you're just a casual forum lurker, or you prefer working with your close group of buds, don't add your name here. This is a collaboration effort.

To add yourself to this map, click Edit and then place a marker on your location. Be as approximate as you wish, just be somewhere close. Title the marker as your Mogulville forum name, exactly. This will make it easier for other forum members to contact you on the forum. In the description you can put your name, phone number, address, or nothing. You don't have to give any specific information if you don't want to.

Now, for the disclaimery stuff. Keep in mind that this is the intarwebz, meaning that even if you only intend for other Mogulers wishing to collaborate to see this, someone else might end up viewing the map too. So keep that in mind. DO NOT give out ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION unless you want it viewable to ANYONE and EVERYONE. The best thing to do is simply add your marker in the center of town and let people PM you here for more specifics if they wish. That way you have control over what information is given out. And also, don't put your marker in a random place. Put it at least in the same city as you. If I see any markers in Antarctica I won't be happy. :supermad:

Exactly. Again, if you read my post, my two reasons why this one was different were that you could add yourself without asking, and it was for the express purpose of intent to collaborate ONLY. The one you mentioned was just where people are from. That's not what this is for. Unless you want to collaborate, don't post here.
