Do you mean Latino directors? I consider myself Hispanic because I have Mexican ancestors, but I was born here, and that's what most Texans consider Hispanic. When I say Latino, I'm thinking like Puerto Rican, Cuban, and such.

Yea i new about del toro, has anyone seen trailers for his new movie the orphanage? it looks awesome!...and children of men is my second favorite movie ever. Thanks alot guys! Guillermo del Toro didn't direct the Orphanage, he produced and yeah its kinda obvious he had a hand in the creative part, but the main credit goes to Juan Antonio Bayona

I'm part Portuguese, you can totally write something about me. In that case well Im Mexican :D

So there's also Arturo Ripstein, Fabián Bielinsky, Jorge Fons, Felipe Cazals

There's also I don't like very much, Carlos Reygadas, he's like the "it boy" of independent "artsy" latino film making right now.

OH and hispanic basically means you or your family are from a country that speaks spanish. So that rules out Portugal and Brazil but includes Spain :p So then we could include Almodobar and Amenabar. :learn:

Damn, all of mine have been taken. Although I don't actually think Del Toro directed the Orphanage, did he? He's a great director anyway and Cuaron is one of the best directors around (second only to Christopher Nolan of course).

Wow... Have you ever actually seen a Nolan film besides Batman Begins? Anyway, maybe he's not the absolute BEST director around (he's close though), but he's better than most directors.
