K, i got the demo of FX lab pro and it kinda runs slowly on my computer:
When i play the clips, it tends to stall then catch up
I click and it takes 5 seconds for a response
And i need tutorials bcuz the ones on the SITE arent that useful
so i dont want to pay 150 bucks for something as slow as pinnacle

Dude, why don't you post on their forum? That forum is actually filled with people who use FX Home products.
And perhaps your computer needs an upgrade/replacement.

Scott, are you an active member on their forums?
but to answer your question drumsofdoom, before asking us, ask the people at FXhome in the support forums. But I'll answer your question in short. The reason why the video runs slow is because it does not play in real-time. You can do a preview render to view the clips at normal speed.

Alright, try to follow this carefully:
Look at this image:
http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c84/supershroom2/Picture2.png
You see those two little marks on the ends of clip that look like this: "{" and this "}"
Those are called in and out points. When you use those, you can select a part of a clip that you want to take action with. Such as rendering, or preview rendering.
So if you want to just watch a tiny part of the clip where you added an effect to, set the in and out points in a suitable area to preview your effect.
Now look at this image:

See that button that's highlighted? Click on that and you're done.
If you have any other questions, ask them at the FXhome forums.

Those blue bars are keyframes, not in and out points.

Your computer might not be fast enough to run it well.
What are your specs? (To find this out click on Start->Run->type in "dxdiag"->wait for a moment->Check out the processor type and the amount of memory (RAM).
