you scared me for a second when you put i hate rush but then i saw they are good talent wise and that made me happy
i think rush could be considered metal i dont kno wwhy but it seems like it and neil peart is my hero (sorry that was random)

Definetely not Heavy metal, prog-pop rock type music, they cross genres now and again but you cant really hold them next to metallica and that, does Tom Sawyer really sound heavy to anyone on here?

RUSH IS THE BEST BAND IN THE WORLD!! NIEL PEART IS THE BEST DRUMMER IN THE WORLD!!!

Dream Theater is also one of my favorite bands...I love their song "Octavarium"
It's like 24 minutes long, and every second of it is amazing. Especially at 8:40

i love the intro to yyz! for all you drummers, here is the part after the splash bell
every bam is snare and hihat and every boom is kick, then the 3rd mesure is ride for every hit along with snares and kicks... get my drift?
