Yes iv'e checked Google and download.com but are their any free virus software downloads that will last me a week?
He just ordered Norton but it said 7-14 business days, this is on my friends old computer and the Charter High Speed Security Suite (through our ISP) wont work. Any tips?

Bud, not to be rude, but this is a filming thread. You should post this under chit-chat, or preferably somewhere else. Norton is what I use, but Ad-adware is also good.

AVG is good, I used to use norton but it is a MAJOR system hog and will interupt almost all of your programs

Just to let you know you can ask computer questions here too. If your computer has a virus it can sometimes make your expensive software go byebye and then it is about editing!

I'm a BIG fan of clamwin anti-virus. It is free, opensource, has a ton of features and it is not a resource hog.

Windows Defender is a mediocre Microsoft virus program. Its OK for temporary protection.
