Seriously, the lighting, the sunburst in the trees, the brightness of everthing, and the way that the light is when it looks like the couple are going to kiss (early in the video)
I need those natural lighting effects and color.
How do you supposed they did that? and how can i do it?
i need it to make a short film seem real

It was probably a 35mm film camera, they tend to go all out on music videos.

Nope, it was video (prosumer HD). Though I find it REALLY interesting that you would mistake the two.
Go with what Westcroft said for the most part but the unsung hero here may be filters and butterflies. If you want to focus on the look of a video however it is more complex than just using good equipment and editing software. Really understanding how to light a scene properly is key.

and once again, to find tips on lighting and how to modify lighting equipment, check this amazing forum started by some really cool guy with a weird fetish for parchment paper.

I didn't know Harry Potter sang... ;)
As for your question. They were using some very good cameras to start out with. Then they must have used a 35mm adapter. It could have been shot in 24p, but I can't tell. Filters were probably used on the lens. It was professionally lit with lights and reflectors. And to top it all off, it was graded in post.
So unless you have any of the equipment I just mentioned, your not going to get the same picture. However, you can still get an excellent picture if you light your scene well and do a good job grading you video.
