Ok i used final cut express and i was playing with the hotkeys
i pressed command W and my timeline dissapeared. I found the reason and i cant find how to reverse the process

I bet there is, but i havent used it before im just guessing since i keep hearing people say that "Final cut" is good.>and if it is good it proboly has a edit/undo button.

Final Cut consists of free-floating windows. I had the same problem as you when I first used the software. Just go to "Window/Timeline" or just hit Command 3.

Hmmm... The first time I installed my copy it was not working properly. There were a lot of bugs in it. I remember not being able restore a window. I just reinstalled it and everything worked fine. I recommend you do the same.

double-click the sequence icon in the bin.

CTRL + Z is undo

it was quit out of so the undo command didnt work

On the left side(top) titled browser where your footage is, look for a clip titled sequence. Double click on the button that looks like a domino, this should bring the timeline back.

I had to call Apple to get this myself a few weeks ago.

view > timeline (ticked) has worked for me sometimes, though it doesn't always show... Restarting the app also has worked, and try Ray's suggestion too.

When this happened to me restarting Final Cut didn't work unfortunately.
