I've always loved the Twilight Zone, so I got really happy when I discovered that CBS has most of it up for free on their Website.

But this is one of my favorite episodes, it's got Meredith Burgess (Mickey from Rocky) as the last Librarian on earth in a futuristic Orwellian society, and it's just really great stuff.

Check it out, post your own favorites here, i'd like to see what other people thought were the best ones.

A few of my favorites were
-The one with the little girl who falls through a portal to another dimension behind her bed.
-The drunken couple who wake up in an empty town and turns out they ended up as dolls for giant people.
-How to serve mankind.
-The astronaut who thought he was on another planet.

Is it the one where he breaks his glasses.....

That is a classic!

I believe it is called "All the Time in the World" But I could be wrong without looking it up.

**EDIT: The title of the episode is "Time Enough at Last"**

No, this one is "The Obsolete Man", although he did indeed play a Librarian in that other famous episode.

"IT'S A COOKBOOK!"

(Yeah, I know, not from either episode but "To Serve Man" had to be one of the best episodes ever!)

It's the episode where the aliens come and everyone thinks they are going to be all nice and helpful. Search out and watch the episode... it's great.

I liked the one with the librarian who just wanted to read, and when the world ended he finally had the chance but his glasses broke, the one with William Shatner and that thing on the plane, and the one where the guy collects those wax dummies of serial killers who end up killing people

I've always loved the "Twilight Zone". Personal favorite episode, I can't remember the name, but it has a young Dennis Hopper as a neo-nazi who starts getting advice from a mysterious stranger that turns out to be Hitler, but is actually just imaginary..

My description doesn't do it justice.. It was just fantastic..

Also, my vote for best "Twilight Zone" parody goes to Futurama for "The Scary Door" bits they used to have..

My favorites are "Five Strangers in search of an Exit" which has five assorted characters that find themselves trapped in a giant cylindrical room with very high walls and no apparent way out. Great ending as usual.

I also loved "4 O' clock" which has this hateful guy that goes out of his way to ruin people's lives that he deems as evil. His master plan for dealing with them somewhat backfires though.

the one with William Shatner and that thing on the plane

Wasn't that from The Twilight Zone movie? I never really watched any of The Twilight Zone shows, but I have seen the movie.

The episode with William Shatner was the one with that little penny machine that told the future. He went crazy and was almost hypnotized by it. The Twilight Zone movie segment your talking about was with John Lithgow. He saw a monster on the wing of the plane he was on.

When theres the librarian at the end of the world, and his eyes fall out, so he tries to read braille, but then his finger tips fall off, then it keeps on going...

He is correct about Shatner being on the episode where there was something on the wing of the plane. They reused the story in the movie and cast John Lithgow in the part.

I knew they reused the story for the movie. I just didn't know William Shatner was in the original episode... my bad.

The Scary Door is awesome. Why is the content unavailable?

No, the one from the Twilight Zone movie was a remake of one from the series, called Nightmare at 20,000 feet.

Shatner was in both the Devil machine one called "Nick of Time", and in the thing-on-the-wing-one.

It's not available on the site I posted because they don't have anything from past season 3, and this is from season 5.

If the stuff is unavailable on the website they must be updating it or something, or your connection is bad, because mine is working fine.

I think it's actually Five Characters in Search of an Exit

Yeah, I think the whole movie was actually just remakes of classic Twilight Zone episodes.

Yeah, that's it. My bad. I see that one is available but my other favorite, 4 O'Clock, isn't there. Must have been past season 3.

my favorites are the one where the guy who loves to read is the last man on earth and he breaks his glasses, the one where the airplane goes back in time and they can't get back to the future, and the one when "there's something on the wing!"

Sonny,,, oh my ,, you gotta go to that site and check them
out. The original TZ's will blow your mind. Ton of good stuff
and you will see very young actors and actresses just starting
out that later made it big. ( Robert Redford as death, pretending
to be a shot cop) and many more. Man, go check them out.
