Definately the GL2. I was very close to buying the panasonic but when you really read into it it is really very bad. 1 chip as opposed to 3, very large, bulky, and just all around not very good. Though it is cheaper it's really not worth wasting the money. Go with the GL2

I am so sick of people asking which camera to buy. Figure out which features you need, do your own research, decide which factors will give you best quality, and find the camera that works best for you.

GL2. I've been exposed to the Panasonic DVC7. It is essentially a mediocre single chip SD consumer cam, placed in a large, awkward plastic body to look more professional. The GL2 at least has a nice sensor setup, manual controls and is a legitimate entrance to prosumer cams.
