Finley! I had three scottie dogs... Monty, Angus and Finley but unfortunately Monty died earlier this year :(
Finley LOVES the camera, as soon as he hears the flash he comes running out wanting to have his picture taken!! He'll sit still for ages until you take at least four or five photos of him!

We never bathe them but we change their litter a lot and they always smell fine.

Shatner after some tlc - they tail is supposed to look like that... I'd never had a gecko before, so I was winging it on fixing him up. We now have about 15 leopard geckos , and about a dozen eggs in the incubator, some of which are Shatner's progeny.

They named him Tony Hawk: he had to have a leg amuptated, so the vet mounted a skateboard truck and wheel on his shell, and he just rolls along like nobody's business. Just thought it was a funny juxtaposition of him, and the person in a wheelchair behind him...

It started as a bonding exercise for my fiancee and her estranged daughter and grew into a hobby. The numbers, particularly on the snakes is because many kinds of snakes are bred for particular color traits. The ball python for instance, has been bred into dozens of genetically stable "morphs", or color/patterns. My fiancee while a hospice case manager/RN by day, is planning to breed snakes as a retirement "job" when the time comes.

Some rare morphs are arrived at by breeding two different morphs. She's currently in pursuit of breeding a piebald, a ball python with more or less areas of pure white - depending on the amount of white, a piebald can fetch upwards of $2000 on the reptile market.

For me, it's more a fascination with the beauty and personality of the creatures.

As to where they're kept, pretty much in every room of the house. Ball pythons are fortunately burrow dwellers, so prefer a confined space most of the time, so are kept in bins in racks I built with hiding places for them to curl up and hide. The boas are more active so have tanks. The beardies, tegu, and monitors I built condos for - one of them is visible in the background of the picture of me under "POST A PICTURE OF YOURSELF" thread.
