I think Indiana Jones laid the foundation.

It looks like they actually cast the actor's face. It's not bad, but the flesh tone is a little dodgy. The imposition of his real face over the melting face is a clever move, and the light really sells it.

Not only was there an Indy Mogul shout out, but also one to Doug TenNapel and his stop-motion puppet that was featured in the IM blog. It's like a two-for-one!

the first video on the page is a behind the scenes featuring rob schrab (who, you might remember, did the 4-min episode on "drawless animation"). and he totally gave us a huge shout-out for showing how to do it on the cheap!

also: die, bobby. die. alone and cold, die.
haha, that was great! I don't watch the show nor am I fan of Sarah Silverman but that was funny, and kudos to Rob for the shout out!

And I thought you guys were going to try and be a little nicer to Bobby now that bought you guys pizza!

Thrue, IMs face was more like a generic face, when in The SIlverman Program they made it look like a specific actor. Besides, the flow was more even.
