Mogulville has always been such an important part of the Indy Mogul experience, allowing our users to collaborate, and communicate with one another, and with us. We have learned so much from the last few years, and to better serve all of you Mogulers out there who we care so much about, we are going to put some new rules in place that will help streamline things a bit here on the forums.

To clarify some of the language below, we say, "Infraction" a lot in the rules below. You'll get one of these "infractions" if you break one of the rules. If you rack up 3 infractions your account will be banned. We know this might seem scary, but as you'll see below infractions are attached to pretty serious rules. If you have a question about something, are worried something you want to post may get you
an "infraction", or thing you received an unfair "infraction" please contact a member of the Mod staff, and we'll get back to you a soon as possible.

So please, check out the new rules below, and I hope you enjoy your time here at Mogulville.

THE OFFICIAL FORUM RULES

1. MULTI-ACCOUNTS. One account per user, and one account only. If you have a roommate that shares the same computer with you, get them to use a different machine, or contact us before they sign-up and we'll manually authorize them. No doing so will result in an "infraction" and
request to stop utilizing the alternate account. If the user has not deleted one of the accounts in 30 days both accounts will be banned.

2. SPAM. Spam WILL NOT be tolerated, if you spam, you WILL be "banned". This relates to both coming here to solely try to advertise a product or service, AND posting the same message into multiple parts of the
forum (or into the same section of the forum multiple times). NEITHER will be tolerated, so don't even do it.

3. LANGUAGE. Excessive foul language will result in an "infraction". We aren't children here, and you would be hard pressed to have one of the mod staff throw a hissy fit for saying a cuss. REGARDLESS, doing it constantly serves no purpose and is strongly discouraged. Malicious insults or harassment of other members will also result in an instant "infraction". While cussing or insulting someone may not result in an immediate banning the first time, we will be offering "infractions" for both, so just remember that before you write something.

4. THREATS. We don't care how mad someone makes you on here, it's no excuse to engage in threats of physical violence. There is a distinctive line between playful banter and threats of physical violence, so don't cross it or you will receive an immediate "infraction".

5. THE WORD FILTER. We have a word filter in operation on the forums, certain words that are considered almost universally offensive are blocked. Blocked words include hate speech terms, and words that can only serve a purpose of disparaging certain people. If you run into a blocked word, and you try to bypass the filter by putting spaces or
symbols between the words, this is breaking the rules and will result in an immediate "infraction" when discovered. So just accept the word filter. If you discover an issue with the filter (blocking certain legitimate words that share similar structure to some of the block words, please inform us, and it will be dealt with in due time.)


6. PIRATED SOFTWARE AND MEDIA. No posting links, or instructions on how to obtain pirated software or media. If you're looking for that information, this isn't the place for it, so please search elsewhere. Requesting it, or posting links on where to find it will result in an "infraction", so don't even ask for it.

7. DON'T FIGHT WITH THE MOD STAFF. The Mod staff is here to maintain order, if you feel like a Mod has made a poor decision, please handle it diplomatically. Insulting or attacking the mod staff for maintaining the forums is not conducive to the forum environment running smoothly (and can result in an additional "infraction"). So if you feel like you've been wronged, please report it in a calm manner to one of the other Mods and we will review the decision.

8. DANGEROUS REQUESTS. Please don't make requests for actual explosives or pyrotechnics, or any other effect that could actually endanger your life. Those are created by licensed professionals in larger films, and there are still accidents and deaths related to them misfiring. The danger for the inexperienced filmmaker is only exponentially more intense, so PLEASE, DO NOT attempt or request any kind of effect that could endanger you or others. If you post or ask for dangerous topics it will be taken down, if you continue to bring up dangerous topics you will receive an "infraction".

9. INAPPROPRIATE MEDIA. Posting pictures and work of your own is not only fine, it's encouraged, BUT any kind of nudity, overt sexuality, severe language, or excessive violence is within the grounds of removal and editing. So please, try to use common sense when posting your work, because not doing so could result in an "infraction".

10. PERSONAL INFORMATION. NO posting of other peoples personal information without their permission. Doing so is STRICTLY forbidden, and will result in 2 "infractions". Also, Remember, this is the internet and these forums are viewable by the public, so make sure to keep track of what kind of information you reveal about yourself here.

We aren't saying you can't, just not excessively, in a derogatory way, or at someone. It's common sense.

I would guess that would be fine. I think its mainly saying, don't come on here pretending to be Samuel L. Jackson in 99% of his films.

That's the word filter. It gets changed automatically to that.
